  • 1st Wednesday of the month is the Electrical Trade Union Geelong Branch members meeting. Gheringhap St. Office at 5.00pm.
  • 3rd Wednesday of the month the Plumbers Union members meeting is 5.00pm at Geelong Trades Hall.
  • Last Wednesday of the month at 12 noon the CFMEU shop stewards meet at the CFMEU office on Fyans St.
  • Every Thursday night at 6.00pm. Geelong Trades Hall Choir rehearsal. All members welcome. 127 Myers Street. Geelong.

WOMEN UNIONISTS PUT THESE DATES IN YOUR DIARY

As you would be aware the Geelong Trades Hall Centenary year will be celebrated next year. We have been exploring a number of ideas to celebrate and commemorate as women unionists.

One of the ideas agreed to is to have a group photo of women unionists to hang in the Council Chamber of Trades Hall, (this will be a first). We have engaged a professional photographer, Ferne Millen, to take a photo of us all in our pink t-shirts on the steps of the Trades Hall.

It is important to have as many women unionists in the photo, therefore I am giving you plenty of notice to put it in your diary as a must do.

The photo shoot will be on 21st October at 5.30pm at the Geelong Trades Hall. If you do not have a Women Unionists Network T-shirt yet, there are still a few available from Anne.

‘GIRLS NIGHT IN’CANCER COUNCIL FUNDRAISER

Tuesday 21st October The Cancer Council fundraiser the ‘Girls Night In’ is at 6.30pm in the Lower Hall at Geelong Trades Hall.

As usual the aim is to make this night cost neutral for the Network, but the aim is to raise as much as we can for the Cancer Council. All funds go directly to the Cancer Council who uses the funds raised for researching women related cancers.
