An Australia Post driver last night deliberately ran down workers standing in a driveway at the North Geelong Mail Centre. Workers had earlier had a BBQ to support striking postal workers and were standing on the driveway to talk to workers coming in on the next shift when the truck attempted to drive through with out stopping. The driver did not sound his horn or indicate that he intended not stopping. No one was seriously injured but one worker that did not see the truck coming only narrowly missed going under the truck but hanging onto the front bumper. The driver finally stopped after dragging the worker 10 metres. other workers then sat around the truck preventing it from leaving the scene until police arrived to record the incident. (see photo)
