  • 1st Wednesday of the month is the Electrical Trade Union Geelong Branch members meeting. Gheringhap St. Office at 5.00pm.
  • 3rd Wednesday of the month the Plumbers Union members meeting is 5.00pm at Geelong Trades Hall.
  • Last Wednesday of the month at 12 noon the CFMEU shop stewards meet at the CFMEU office on Fyans St.
  • Every Thursday night at 6.00pm. Geelong Trades Hall Choir rehearsal. All members welcome. 127 Myers Street. Geelong.

Notice: Trades Hall operartions during the "Bike Race"

UCI Bike Race
28 September – 2 October


Dear Comrades

Due to the second largest TV event in the world being held in Geelong, yes it is a bike race,Geelong Trades Hall will be operating on different arrangements to normal during this week. Please take note of the following.

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday I will be around the office from 7am to 7pm.
Wednesday the office will be closed. I can also be contacted on the Saturday and Sunday.
• The lower Hall and rear car park will be closed and only used by the Australian Racing Team.
• The Trades Hall Ute will stay here for emergency use of union organisers.
• Discussions are taking place now with different union organisers to see who can cover which side of the town in the event of an emergency on a site or a dispute flare ups in a workplaces. I will send out details shortly.
• Please add at least one hour to your travel times to get to planed meetings.
• Do not expect to be able to get across town on these dates.
