To Whom t May Concern

DON’T TAKE OUR FREQUENCY

WE HAVE OPERATED AS 94.7 SINCE 2001 AND THROUGH THE HARD WORK OF HUNDREDS OF VOLUNTEERS HAVE ESTABLISHED OURSELVES WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY AND OUR REGION ON THIS FREQUENCY, WHICH EXTENDS TO BALLARAT IN THE WEST, APOLLO BAY TO THE SOUTH, EAST TO THE MORNINGTON PENINSULAR AND NORTH TO THE SOUTHERN SUBURBS OF MELBOURNE.

ACMA ARE OFFERING US THE 91.9 FREQUENCY IN RETURN.

THIS FREQUENCY IS VERY WEAK AND WILL BE LUCKY TO REACH LITTLE RIVER TO THE NORTH, MAYBE TORQUAY TO THE SOUTH, MEREDITH TO THE WEST AND WILL NOT BE HEARD ON THE MORNINGTON PENINSULAR AT ALL.

THIS WILL MARGINALISE MANY OF OUR CURRENT LISTENERS AND IT IS ESTIMATED THAT OUR POTENTIAL LISTENERSHIP WILL BE REDUCED BY OVER 50%. THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WHO CURRENTLY ENJOY THE PULSE WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO HEAR US OR THEIR FAVOURITE PROGRAMS AND LOCAL INFORMATION.

WE THE UNDERSIGNED ARE ALL SUPPORTERS OF UNIONAIR, A COMMUNITY UNION SHOW THAT PLAYS EVERY SATURDAY ON 94.7 THE PULSE. OUR MEMBERS LIVE THOUGHOUT THE REGION AND IF THE ACMA PROPOSAL GOES AHEAD MANY OF OUR MEMBERS WILL NO LONGER HEAR THEIR ONLY SOURCE OF WEEKLY UNION NEWS AND DISCUSSION.
